Concert at Sombrero Marsh by Sheldon & Kathleen Sands

Sheldon and Kathleen Sands will be presenting a short concert for campers (and their families!) at 3pm on Friday.  The songs will include songs from 2 concerts which they present, Sand-Between-the-Toes  and Living in Tune.

Sand-Between-the-Toes represents composer and pianist Sheldon Sands’s musical interpretations of fabled poems by Winnie-the-Pooh author A.A Milne, drawn from his collections “When We Were Very Young” and “Now We Are Six”.  Combining folk, blues and Americana traditions, the songs have delighted audiences of all ages!

Living in Tune uses music to address how we relate to one another, how to react positively when conflict arises, and how living harmoniously with others promotes a more respectful and peaceful world. Musicians Sheldon and Kathleen Sands lead group discussions on these topics interspersed with performances of different songs, including “We Can Work it Out” (The Beatles), “Count on Me” (Bruno Mars), “Don’t Laugh At Me” (Peter, Paul and Mary lyrics), and “Imagine” (John Lennon).
