Astronomy and Nocturnal Ecology

Explore the Lafayette Nature Center after dark and discover the wonders of winter nights with our friends from the Longmont Astronomical Society. Learn to find your way by the stars and shifting seasons, spark a connection with the night sky, and discover the fascinating plants and animals that wake up when the rest of the world goes to sleep.

Stay warm while exploring the night with s’mores and stories around the campfire, and indoor warm-up options are also available.

Ages:

All ages are welcome, though the content of the workshop is best suited for participants ages 6+. Participants under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
