Habitat Restoration: Land CPR - Bringing Back Biodiversity
This fall, join the Lafayette Nature Center team for a hands-on, community-centered workshop focused on native seeds, wildflowers, and restoring local biodiversity—right here in the heart of Lafayette.
During this engaging seasonal session, participants of all ages will:
Collect native wildflower seeds to take home, perfect for planting in the fall or storing through winter
Learn how to build your own pollinator garden
Explore habitat restoration along Coal Creek and discover what it means to bring land back to life
Connect to the land through storytelling, nature walks, and hands-on ecology activities
This is more than a workshop. It’s an opportunity to reconnect with nature, contribute to local habitat restoration, and cultivate a deeper sense of place.
All experiences are outdoors and designed to be interactive, educational, and fun. Come as you are—leave with seeds, stories, and new connections.
