Wild Skills

Boulder and Lafayette – Ages 9 to 11

Registration opens 1/9/25

This camp engages your child’s interest in creative problem-solving and passion for the outdoors! Campers will learn basic wilderness survival techniques while cultivating their appreciation for nature. Wild Skills is for campers who love to work with their hands, create, and enjoy being in nature. Join us to discover, generate, and pursue new ideas and skills. Wild Skills also includes one visit per session from local eco-experts who will share their knowledge and passion for nature through interactive programs and activities, with some even bringing live animals for campers to meet.

Wild Skills is best suited for campers who are going into 4th-6th grade. Campers should be prepared to hike up to four miles a day, be further from facilities, and be ready to embrace challenging activities and experiences. All Thorne day camps maintain a 10:1 maximum camper-to-instructor ratio.
