Extended Care: 2:30-5:30 pm

Boulder and Lafayette – Ages 5 to 11

Thorne’s session-long Extended Care option allows campers to spend the whole day with Thorne in a safe and fun environment. Parents can pick up their kids any time between 3:15-5:30 pm, leaving time to run errands, work, exercise, or simply relax knowing that their children are having fun with friends.

Campers participating in Extended Care spend the first portion of the day at their morning camp, then continue their time with Thorne in the afternoon Extended Care program. Extended Care offers respite from the elements with the option of spending time indoors or outdoors. Extended Care activities are camper-driven and children may choose activities like playing games, relaxing indoors and outdoors, reading, and making crafts, all under the supervision of Thorne camp staff.

Extended Care is limited and frequently reaches capacity, so if you think you might need to register your child, it is best to register in advance! Prorating is not available for Extended Care, even if you choose to utilize only a portion of it. Snack is not provided by Thorne and families should plan to send an extra snack for Extended Care. Extended Care will not be offered in Longmont this summer.

Pricing

Sessions 1, 2, and 3: $225 per session (9-day camps for holidays)
Sessions 4 and 5: $250 per session
Session 6: $175 per session (7-day camp)

We do not prorate for Extended Care. When you enroll, your child is enrolled for each day of that session and for the full 3-hour time block. Families may pick up early or opt out of days. but will not be eligible for a refund.

  • Sombrero Marsh – 1466 63rd St, Boulder, CO 80303
    • Campers from other Boulder drop-off locations are transported by school bus each day following their morning camp. Pick-up is at Sombrero Marsh. 12-15-year-old camps are not eligible for Extended Care.
Lafayette:

Extended Care will not be offered in Longmont this summer.
