Pathfinders

Boulder, Lafayette, and Longmont – Ages 9 to 11

Registration Opens 1/9/25

Let’s get outside with our friends and explore!

Our Pathfinders program furthers the themes and skills nurtured through our Wanderers camp, though Wanderers is not a prerequisite. These programs offer enriching outdoor experiences, a deeper exploration of curiosities, and more challenging activities and projects. Through these experiences outside, kids build a lifelong connection with nature and curiosity for the world. Pathfinders will also include one visit per session from local eco-experts who will share their knowledge and passion for nature through interactive programs and activities, with some even bringing live animals for campers to meet.

Because there is always something new to experience in nature, this camp can be enjoyed again and again. This experience will spark your child’s wonder and curiosity, grow their confidence, and stoke their connection to nature.

These camps are best suited for children going into 4th-6th grade who want to develop new friendships and deepen their connection with nature. For this camp, hikes and walks may exceed two miles. Access to shade and water will always be available. All Thorne day camps maintain a 10:1 maximum camper-to-instructor ratio.

WHAT ARE SOME THINGS WE WILL DO AT CAMP?

  • Identify critters on land and in the water
  • Investigate and learn about the local flora and fauna
  • Deepen connection with our environment
  • Nature-inspired games, team building, art, and storytelling
  • Building, creating, and much more!
